Sebastiano Quagliata, 46, and Valbona Lucaj, 44, had a breakfast of ham, biscuits, oatmeal and fruit, with coffee, juice and milk at 7 a.m. Friday July 17 before getting in the back of a patrol car for the long ride to Washtenaw and Jackson counties.
Lucaj, said Lt. Duane Englehardt, administrator of the Lapeer County Jail, is headed to the Women’s Huron Valley Correctional Facility in Pittsfield Township, south of Ypsilanti. It’s Michigan’s only women’s prison where Lucaj will spend at least the next three years, nine months of her life.
